For a while now, I have been trying to search for LEGIT work from home jobs. I would like a job that would provide a good income for me to stay at home and raise my children. I have a good job now and I don't plan on leaving it any time soon, however, I would still enjoy (and like) the option of staying at home if I could. I have a Masters degree, but since I can remember I have always wanted to be a housewife. I'm not talking about one of those 1950s or a Stepford housewife. I like to call myself "Betty Homemaker with an Income." People laugh at me, look at me crazy, and then of course they point out the obvious, "but you have a MASTERS degree. Why would you want to be a housewife?!?!" I like the freedom of working on my time, leaving the house when I need to, and just being flexible. I don't feel like I can get that in the working world and if I can I feel that the "job" would take over my family life. Meaning I like to travel, but I don't want to have to travel the world and leave my husband or my children behind. Also, I would like it to be with my children and working. If its during their nap, I can work. If its between their feedings, I can work. Just having that flexibility is something that's not only important to me, but will be important to my family.
Another big reason that I want to be a "housewife," is so that I can stay at home and TEACH my children. Some people fail to understand that school isn't were your children learn EVERYTHING. They have to learn from home. And that overall is the most important goal for me to reach with my kids. Knowing that I am not only their provider, I am their teacher and whatever they learn from home and go out to the world to do, I taught them that FIRST!
I have some tricks up my sleeve that may work but I know wouldn't bring in half or three-quarters of the income I have now. But overall being with my babies and knowing that I am making the most of their world...priceless.
Please feel free to share your ideas with me. I'll make sure to keep them to myself!!!
Peace & Happiness

Career Change
Lately, I have been pondering over my current career choice and I'm not too satisfied. Maybe because I'm working with elementary, maybe because of the population I work with, but overall I'm not happy with where I am at in my career. I have been going over things that I am really passionate about and what disappoints me the most is that there isn't one specific thing that I am great at! I am the type of person that if you show me how to do something or I can pick it up by watching then I am good to go. So with that being said, I did some Googling earlier last week and ran across a book. What Color is Your Parachute?: A Practical Guide for Job Seekers and Career Changers. I read Chapter 1 with my fiance and instantly drawn into what was said. There are little things that we do now that we don't know that is effecting our ability to get a job or should I say career. If anyone is out there searching for something, I suggest you seek this book. There are many different versions as they change as the years go so I suggest getting the new 2014 edition. If anyone is able to offer any advice, my ears and heart are open! Stay blessed.

What am I doing wrong?!??
I often find myself comparing where I am and where I should be. I am only 27 and have a lot going for myself, but I don’t give myself the credit that I deserve. I’m always looking at the things I want versus the things that I need or already have. Being that I moved from Virginia to Florida, it took a lot of nerve and courage to move from my comfort zone to what I didn’t know. On top of that, during the time I moved I didn’t even have a job. Starting in 2010, I started taking more leaps of faith then sitting back and waiting until the time that I thought I was ready. Surprisingly, I have been faced with situations such as working part time or not having a job and having to pay rent, a car note, and utilities with no means of income at all. Those were the times that I knew I was being held on faith and my trust with the Lord became stronger. Now as I write this post, I feel that I’m disappointing Him because I’m always asking “what am I doing wrong?” And what I mean by that question is why don’t I have a nicer car, but I have a car. Why can’t I save money? But my bills and rent are paid. Why, why why? And I feel bad internally because I feel like I’m being selfish and not waiting for my time and comparing my time to someone else’s. The saying is that people don’t know the struggle someone else has been through to have what they have. I know it’s not the time for me to be wealthy or rich. The time for me is right now and right now I have what I need and more. Now I have to ask myself what am I going to say or do when I start asking what and why? I’ll have to remind myself of what it took to get to where I am, and how much I have grown…”Our prayers should be for blessings in general, for God knows what’s best for us.”–Socrates. Everyone be blessed…
